Waterford — Viking Triangle and coast

Waterford Ireland

Waterford is the Sunny South-East market — around 1,900 rooms across 42 properties — split between the Viking Triangle at the confluence of the Suir and John's River, the Dungarvan coastal strip and the Copper Coast Geopark inland belt. Waterford demand is heavily leisure-driven, with the Christmas market being the largest single demand event of the year.

· I ·Viking Triangle

The Viking Triangle around Reginald's Tower and the Waterford Museum of Treasures holds boutique three-stars and four-stars. Leisure weekend demand year-round. ADR in the €120 to €180 range on a normal weekend, spiking to €260 for Christmas market weekends in December.

· II ·Dungarvan coast

Dungarvan and the West Waterford coast down to Ardmore hold family-run guesthouses and small four-stars. Heavily July-August summer weighted. Winter demand is very thin — yield module recommended.

· III ·Copper Coast Geopark

The Copper Coast Geopark inland belt from Bunmahon to Ballyvoyle serves walking, cycling and heritage-tour business through Discover Ireland registered operators.

· IV ·Demand events tagged in the yield engine

Waterford Winterval Christmas Festival (November through December) is the largest single demand event — the multi-week festival draws visitors from across the south-east and drives ADR up 2.4x baseline. Spraoi (August bank holiday), West Waterford Festival of Food (April), Waterford Harvest Festival (September).

· V ·Compliance particulars

Fáilte Ireland grading register covers all Waterford properties. Revenue Commissioners VAT rules apply (9% accommodation, 13.5% F&B, 23% ancillary). Payment rails available — Bank of Ireland Payment Acceptance and AIB Merchant Services, both routed through the unified connector.
